The Elizabeth post office will extend the hold mail requests for a total 6 months, until March 1, 2022 for residents impacted by Hurricane Ida. This applies to the CIS Oakwood residents that had to relocate due to the storm, which the post office will verify/authenticate. All residents that have requested the post office to hold their mail need to be pick up mail frequently at the post office. Hold mail will be returned to sender after March 1, 2022. This additional time will allow residents to rent a PO Box or file a temporary change-of-address if they are still displaced in March.

IT IS CRITICAL THAT RESIDENTS MANAGE THEIR POSTAL NEEDS DIRECTLY WITH THE POST OFFICE.
